About the Book

Ethan Walters was the handsome, charismatic Senator, who was to be his party’s next Presidential Candidate.   Craig Treadwell, a twenty-two year veteran homicide detective, was trying to focus on his new wife, Kathie, her twin daughters and his job, in that order. Craig’s investigation into the death of a material witness brings them on a collision course.  Craig uncovers evidence that he thought would lead him to a killer in an unsolved murder case, but instead, put him in the middle of politics and something far more dangerous.

About the Author

Markie Leimbach, has taken her pen name from one of her favorite authors, Mark Twain.  Her love of reading, like many authors, inspired her desire to write from the time she was very young.   Perfect Candidate, is the second in her series of mystery stories, bringing to life her characters of  Kathie and Craig as they begin their new life together.  Markie delights in writing twists and turns in her stories that keep the readers on their toes.  Each chapter holds a tiny key to the next as the mystery unfolds. Her inspiration for her characters comes from Markys’ years of life experience, personal heartache and the joy of a good mystery.
