About the Author

Kermit D. Vincent, a taxi driver, jack of all trades and U.S. Presidential Candidate, just happens to be a multinationally mutated, street-publicly-supported, wandering minstrel, poet and author as well. For some twenty years his distinctive rhythmic guitar, soul searching lyrics, poignant prose and story poems have been heard far and wide; in front of ATM's throughout Los Angeles; in open mike lounges in Reno and Las Vegas; live on the streets and stages, with and without backup, of Austin, Nashville, Greenwich Village, London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Madrid, Milan, the tourist hamlets of Portugal, Tokyo, Mexico City and countless towns, bergs, truck stops and airports in between. His original songs and philosophical ramblings have aired on Dutch and French radio and his poetry, essays and letters to the editor have appeared in big city U.S. Newspapers and nationally distributed anthologies. In 2001 he stirred up a little social consciousness by running a write-in campaign for mayor of Albuquerque, New Mexico, with respectable results, and he hopes to stir up a whole lot more now that he's proclaimed himself a candidate for President of the United States of America. He currently resides at Kamp Kermit, in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, with his longtime companion, best friend, playmate and first lady, Kate; as well as Their Royal Highnesses Wumpus the cat and Buster the dog. By the time you read this, however, he will more than likely be on the road in Hope, the campaign van, musically campaigning his fool heart out.
