About the Book

“Fishing in the Bahamas” brings to you the wonderful colours of the Bahamas and the excitement of catching some of the worlds best sportfish.

Excerpts

“I was in the boat going out of Sampson Cay with the sun on the horizon. It was so pretty, pinks, red purples in the sky, what a great day for fishing.”

“I put out all the rods using all the colours I had selected. They looked good, all were bobbing, splashing and dancing in and out of the water. The birds were going crazy, diving into the water at what seemed like 100mph, small fish jumping everywhere. What was underneath feeding on all these fish to cause them to jump out of the water.”

About the Author

As I have been working around the world on private yachts it has been difficult to spend time with my young family. I wanted to let my children know what I do and some of the very beautiful places I go and experience.

After spending some time in the Bahamas and seeing what a very unique area in the world it is I decided to write a few lines to my children.

The fishing here is amazing, beautiful clear waters, in the shallows you can see the sharks, rays turtles and various fish swimming around.Out in the deep waters you can catch the wahoo, tuna, dolphin fish, marlin and sailfish.

I am Australian and where I come from we also have a lot of very unique places. Originally I am from a small town in South Australia called Port Augusta. Here my brother and I were bought up fishing for whiting, snapper and crabs, and sailing small dinghys and our families 27ft sailboat.

My wife is from Louisiana, along with my 4 children we have spent the last 2 years in Canada together while I have been involved with the construction of a large expedition vessel.

This vessel will travel the worlds oceans looking for some of the most exotic and isolated areas in the world and catching some of the best fish out there.

I hope you enjoy the book.
