From Death to Life

I want to tell you of the 3 phases that the enemy tries to kill your baby. The time of conception: The enemy does not want you to even conceive your dream. As with my natural child that died, the enemy would try anything to ensure that our dreams are never born or realized. You see our dreams must be conceived first in our spirits.

The enemy will try to keep us so occupied with other things that we would never have time to develop intimacy with our God. You cannot conceive unless you have intimacy. This type of intimacy is not a sexual act but an act of worship, prayer and meditation with the Holy Spirit. It is important that we develop the type of relationship with God that He is able to give us instructions and we faithfully act upon them. God must take us through a process of mind renewal. For most of us, we carry the tormenting thoughts of who we were or what we did in our past, what someone said we were or the way that we perceive ourselves. II Corinthians 5:17(AMP) states:

“Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!”

Our Heavenly Father is saying that He must deprogram us of all those untruths, lies, hurts, bitterness, unforgiveness and doubts and reprogram us with His Word, His character, His Spirit, His righteousness and most of all His Love! Intimacy is about relationship with God. You can’t have a relationship without communication and you can’t have communication without speaking and listening. How much time are you spending with Him? How will you ever get to know your purpose without it? At this point, I would ask that you stop reading, take a moment and assess your level of communication with Him. If you have not been faithful in this area, repent now and be restored in Him. Make a point daily, to spend time with Him. This means reading His Word and praying. If you have a prayer language, by all means use it, at least daily! The spirit knows all things and makes intercession for you. If you don’t yet have the gift of tongues, seek God and He will give you the desires of your heart.

The point of germination: Once conception has taken place, the dream begins to germinate. During germination the baby is growing and developing. As with a natural child, the baby goes through trimesters. During the first trimester, it doesn’t even look like a human. There is just a small bag of fluid with something floating around inside. As with the dream God has given to us. During the early stages, you may think, I must have heard God wrong. There is no way that He is calling me to do this. Your circumstances definitely say that you are not the one. This thing does not look like He told me it would. However, during the second trimester of a natural pregnancy, the baby begins to take shape. You can tell its head, arms, feet and even hear its heartbeat. It begins to grow inside of you. By this time you are really watching what you eat, your level of rest and you try to stay out of stressful environments. So it should be with our God given dream. It is so important that we are careful of what we allow into our spirit. Although your dream has begun to take form and shape it is still critical that as its parent you nurture and protect it at all cost! You see by now, the enemy has become terrified.

Most pregnancies are aborted during their first trimester. If the fetus makes it past that stage, more than likely the mother will deliver several months later. You must begin to eliminate your self of stress and stressful people. Feed your dream. Feed it with the Word of God. Feed it with the promises of God. You will begin to realize hey, this thing doesn’t look so far off now. I’m beginning to see pieces of this puzzle fit together. Allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you and exercise you. Yes, you read it right, exercise. The Holy Spirit will begin to exercise our faith muscle. A problem will arise. How will you respond? Will you become frantic or will you feed that situation with God’s Word? When you choose the latter, stand firm on it, you will see the resolution to the problem begin to manifest. Eventually you will be able to see a recurring cycle of this. Problem, Word, Resolution.

Problem, Word, Resolution. Problem, Word, Resolution. It is important not to take note of the problem, but to take note of what God is teaching you through the crises. I like to call the teaching THE PROCESS. I truly believe that this is His opportunity to teach us His ways, His character and His Word. When a situation occurs we must learn to deal with it only through the Word of God. Not through our flesh, not by calling our family or friends to ask their opinions. As with mine, I’m sure they have their own issues as well. At this point, I would ask that you stop reading and assess what you have been feeding your dream as it is growing inside of you. Determine what unhealthy, ungodly, unnecessary discussions, thoughts or even relationships you have been feeding your spirit. Repent and ask God for help to either change or altogether terminate these things and remember that whatever you feed your spirit goes directly into your dream.

At the point of delivery: Okay here we go. Push, push, push. Good that’s really good! Now catch your breath, rest a moment and we’ll go for it again. If you have ever given birth to a child or witnessed one, you must admit that it is the most phenomenal, spiritual experience you’ve ever had. At first, all you can focus on is how much pain you are in or all of the medical doctors and equipment that surround you. However, you are excited, anxious, nervous, and most of all scared!
