About the Book

"Ms. U....Ms.U..." the voice called out in a loud little roar! "They don't listen to me. Never, ever does any of them listen. Why Ms. U? Why don't they listen?

This book is a compliation of stories about American Children in Crisis.  They are compelling glimpses from each child's view of their lives, in their own words.

You will not be able to put this book down! It will touch your soul....pierce your heart... and leave you asking what can I do about these kids? The children are composites of many children whom the author worked with across America. The stories are moments captured where the children talk from their spirit, mind and heart about their lives to a person they call Ms. U or sometimes Ms Pam. A person they trusted with their stories and their lives!

The book calls us to examine our social service system. Is it really helping children...is it really meeting their needs? Ms. Uher lets the children and their stories reveal the answer. She does ask many questions about the antiquated child welfare system in America, while presenting a new model for communities to embrace: "Guardian Families".  Every social worker, childcare provider, teacher, therapist, case manager, minister, parent, mother, father, grandparent must read this book.

TAKE IT HOME TODAY...GIVE IT AS A GIFT...YOU WILL NEVER FORGET THE CHILDREN AND THEIR STORIES...let your heart be touched and your spirit motivated.
