About the Book
There’s an old adage that goes: If you like law and sausages, you should never watch either one being made. Veteran trial attorney Gary J. Chester breaks this rule – the part about the law – with a humorous and biting look at some of the most eccentric characters and absurd cases to ever inhabit our legal system. In his insightful book, See You In Court: A Trial Attorney’s Look At Crazy Cases, Ludicrous Lawyering And Dubious Decisions, Mr. Chester introduces readers to a real-life legal system that challenges the imagination beyond any storyline or any character ever created for a television or film drama.
In See You In Court, you’ll meet a law professor who is obsessed by Nazis, a judge who finds witnesses guilty of the defendant’s crime, and people and lawyers who will sue just about anyone over just about anything. You will also learn about a judicial system that tolerates frivolous lawsuits, as well as the author’s simple suggestions for reform. See You In Court provides a rare insider’s look at what really goes on inside America’s courthouses and shatters the mystique of our respected system of jurisprudence.
