About the Author
Angela Dayton has first-hand knowledge of the skills and competencies that American businesses are looking for in the future workforce. She gained this knowledge by meeting with over 2,000 industry leaders (Chief Executive Officers, Senior Vice Presidents, and Human Resource Directors) of small, medium, and large corporations, such as Hospital Corporation of America, Marriott, Astrazeneca, Gore, Inc., BMW, Snap-On Tools, Bank of America, Shell Oil, Industrial Precision Components Corp., IBM, etc. She also worked with industry associations like the National Association of Manufacturers, the National Restaurant Association, the National Retail Foundation, the Automotive Youth Educational Foundation, the Financial Industry Roundtable, CompTIA, and many others.
Angela has helped identify and develop solutions for the critical workforce challenges facing American businesses. Angela has ten years of training and development experience. She has served as the Coordinator for President George W. Bush’s High Growth Job Training Initiative, a Senior Instructional Designer for the U.S. Department of Labor, a Training and Communications Project Manager for Morgan Stanley, an Independent Facilitator for Franklin Covey, a Trainer for Delta Air Lines, and the National Western Region Vice President for the college division of DECA. Angela has also started and operated two small businesses – AP Management and Dayton Consulting.
