We got some visitors here lately. We could smell their scent on the outside of the door and of course I’d have to counteract this. Even Ashby didn’t do anything about this. He had had his whatever cut off so he wasn’t interested. It was left to me to help the whole group by marking against outsiders. But one day, one of ‘em got inside, even ate some of our food! So we had to chase him around and we finally got him cornered up inside one of the walls. He sat there at the top of the thing and we calmed ourselves and he stayed there, afraid to move. Well this was ok until Daddy arrived. Almost immediately he heard that meow. I guess it says a lot that he could tell right away that the meow was not from one of his. He went to investigate. When he saw the thing, at first he couldn’t believe it. I tried to tell Daddy that it was a visitor that had somehow gotten in, and the thing to do would be to let it out right away.
