About the Author

Rodney Francis Foster, born during the Great Depression, experienced the hardships of “dirt poor” farming until relocating to urban America where he rose to senior executive of the then, world’s largest bank.  Thirty years later, retired from banking, he co-developed what became the country’s largest secondary credit auto financing company.

Dominated by a work ethic instilled by a God fearing minister father, and the rigid Christian teachings from his mother’s faith, his disciplined personal life and career pursuits substituted for a loving, romantic relationship with his spouse.

Married twice, with four children and six grandchildren, at three score, nine years of age, following the loss of his wealth, his home and his wife, Rodney discovers what began over fifty years earlier as a teenage love affair with a high school classmate.  For the first time as an adult, he finds richness and fulfillment of romantic love that had been, until now, absent from his life.

Defying history, defying age, awakened, reincarnated, now as an incurable romantic, he adapts the technical and business writing from his corporate career into prose and poetry, creating an epic, painting captivating, word portraits of the love affair that he shares with his teenage sweetheart; his soul mate.
