About the Book

Love is something that’s hard to understand and deal with, especially when you’re two teenagers growing up in the 1950s. In what was supposed to be a simpler time, Chris and Lauren find that their love is anything but simple.

Lauren is a pessimist about love. She does not trust, respect or care for boys much at all. Chris is a hopeless romantic who strives to change Lauren’s pessimistic views.

Their lives are followed from adolescence to adulthood. As their lives progress, they must overcome enemies, family and even each other to keep their love alive.

Tragedy strikes and Chris and Lauren must put their love to the test. Is there love strong enough to keep them together?

About the Author

Christopher Soriano, age 16, was born and raised in south San Diego by his two loving parents and older brother.  As a young teenager, Christopher enjoyed playing basketball and spending time with cousins and friends.  He maintained average grades until reaching middle school.  It was then that Christopher began to experience the strife of being a teenager, such as falling in love, getting into school fights and struggling with grades.  All of these experiences he used as inspiration for his book to share and educate other teenagers.

Christopher experienced a deeper understanding of what it meant to be a young teenager in love with his first true love.  Christopher is also inspired by his parents, whom he highly idolizes and respects.  In addition to writing about his life experiences, Christopher is also pursuing his pilot license and finishing up high school independently.  He plans to write several more books in the coming years.
