About the Book

Wisdom of life is a multidimensional self empowerment  book – one of a kind. The combination of art, poetry, quotations, illustrations and reflection exercises reinforces and aligns each faculty of our being (mind, soul and spirit) in empowering us. 

The book has paintings of artists from earlier centuries – Henri Mattisse (nature), Van Gogh (expression), Shen Chou (Aloneness), Michaelangelo (Spirit), Uragami Gyokudo (Faith), Da Vinci (Differences and Understanding)  as a visual medium to highlight the insights from an artist's soul and reinforce the consciousness of emotions that one faces which brings one to the search of sanity or wisdom. 

Wisdom, like a  strand of abstract in life, is brought to consciousness in art pieces, brought to light in clarity in the illustrations, and brings to mind from one’s heart and soul within only by reflections. The soul is brought to restoration from the self empowerment poems.

The author also takes the opportunity to share her personal experiences in each chapter. The intensity of the emotions felt in each chapter is not to be felt but to be understood which results in poignant self empowerment  from her modern distinctive style of poems.

About the Author

Pei Yi , Yeh writes with sensitivity applying abstract knowledge yet able to communicate clearly.  Her choice of art pieces  reflects emotions of human soul . Her simple empowering poems remind us our inner will.

She does not provide a to-do checklist but an inner reflection exercise after the painting, poem and  illustration. She has given a language  understood by readers of every time and in every country from her multidimensional concept of communicating. 

The content in black, white and grey – two contrasting color and one juxtaposing color – meaning of contrasting values and juxtaposing values shows her authenticity and  grasp of the subject.

Pei Yi, Yeh , a former practicing lawyer , an author of a legal book with an international publisher and a CEO of  trade organization of listed companies has been in the political and corporate field . She took the opportunity to share glimpses of her real life experience in her journey that bring to birth this book.

She researched on the appropriate art pieces to highlight the wisdom from the abstract that lies within reality to enlighten us that the search of wisdom is not from knowledge or experience .
