About the Book

The Author of The Simplicity Diet created this book to help others get fit and stay that way for life. People invest in everything. They buy cars, homes and jewelry. All these investments are good, but investing in a healthy new you is by far the best.  They even buy clothes that they wear once and never see again. Sure you will get complimented on your outfit, but would it be nice to get complimented on a day to day basis, because of the way you look and feel. You’re damn right it would.

Many Americans are obese. These people not only hurt emotionally, but physically as well. Sad but true, most are sick and in severe cases some die. This is why diet and exercise is such a valuable investment for our future and the future of our youth. It is something that can be passed down for generations to come. On this planet there are many places to explore and see. If you’re like me you won’t want to miss a single one of them. Do you want to be able to play with your kids without gasping for air? Do you want to be that fifty year old who doesn’t look it at all? Do you want to one day walk your daughter down the aisle? I do and if you’re like me, you will too.

Many of us are out of shape and unhappy. I know, because I use to be one of them. Then I found a cure. Now I want to share that cure with everyone that I can. Obesity is the virus and my Simplicity Diet is the anti virus. Together we can stop the spread of obesity and have a healthy and fit world.

About the Author

My name is James Carucci. I am the Author of, The Simplicity Diet. My road with diet and exercise wasn’t always a good one. At the age of eight I was diagnosed with Kawasaki. Kawasaki is a rare illness that some kids get. It attacks the immune system and your glands become so swollen that you can hardly walk. While all the other kids were being physically active, I had to seek bed rest. When cartoons and video games became boring, eating didn’t. At the age of ten I had my own drawer called, The Snack Drawer. It had all the candy a kid could want.

As a child, I could remember getting teased about my obesity. I was always the last one to get picked for a sport related activity. My best friend was Kevin, but when he was not around, I relied on one thing. There was one thing that provided comfort, that thing was food. By high school, I was two hundred and thirty pounds, at five foot seven inches. All my friends had girlfriends but me. I was the lonely one and St. Valentine's Day was not my favorite holiday. Then by the age of seventeen I did something very detrimental to my health. That was starvation. I remember being in a friend's garage and passing out from being so depleted of the right nutrients. That struck a nerve, but not a deep enough one.

At this point, I went from overweight to anorexic. It wasn’t my fault. I had no one to guide me. No one to say to me, “You should join a health club, and hire a trainer”. See a nutritionist. Go for walks at night." Something, all I needed was just a little guidance or inspiration. I had none of that. At this point my dad needed my brother and me to move a heavy home heating unit. My brother responds,” no one wants to move an object this heavy with a one hundred and thirty pound guy”. I was so anorexic looking; it looked as if I could give my self a hernia, just by putting on a pair of jeans in the morning. A lot has changed since then.

Today friends and family come to my body building shows and watch me try to win a trophy. As a Personal trainer, I changed my life through fitness and the lives of the people that I train as well. The people that I have helped are a phone call away, but I created this book to help the ones that are miles away.
