About the Author
Ronnie Wallace was born in a little four-room house on a forty acre sand farm in the southeast corner of Missouri that local residents oftentimes refer to as, “Swampeast Missouri.”
The timing of Ronnie’s birth was thirteen years before the last surviving Civil War soldier was laid to rest in
Ronnie grew up listening to tales of the struggles of brave men and women that had struggled mightily to change this hostile river environment into the rich farming country that it is today. That heritage made an indelible impression on him and has resulted in several novels of a time in the early years of the western frontier.
