Excerpt from Chapter Eighteen, THE MRS. GOES TO COURT. Setting: At a preliminary divorce hearing, The Mrs. cooks up a scheme with The Mistress to get some sweet revenge on her unfaithful husband.
I was sitting at my desk the morning before the hearing and I received a phone call from The Mrs. She had so much excitement in her voice, I knew she was up to something ...
"I couldn't sleep last night -- I have the coolest idea for Court tomorrow but I need your help. Would you let me borrow some of your clothes; something Idiot-man will KNOW is yours and the jewelry he gave you? And the rose-colored box that you kept your beloved sex toys in --I'm going to carry my handbag and papers in it -- no one will know what it is, but he'll know and it's gonna' be fun watching him sweat bullets!"
Well ... I was immediately in love with her outrageous idea and promptly agreed to meet her at the house later that evening with the goods.
She laughed as I began prancing around with the racy outfits I picked out for her day in Court. She was excited about her hilarious idea and looking forward to a stunned look on Mark's face when he saw his wife in his lover's sexy clothes.
The next morning, I opened up my e-mail and laughed aloud as I stared at an unbelievable photo she sent of her wearing my outfit. She wore a red and black top that had a tiny bit of silver running through it, a black bolero jacket and a funky black skirt I chose for her. On her feet were the black and gold stilettos, Mark's favorite pair, although she had corns by the end of the day strutting around in the four inch heels. Her fingers and hands were adorned with the pieces of jewelry Mark had given me during our affair; the braided white gold ring and the Tiffany heart bracelet hung from her wrist.
During her lunch break from the court session, she sent me a text message which I got quite a kick out of ...
I will call as soon as I'm done.

I chuckled at her little note and thought how ironic it was to be receiving hugs and kisses from my ex-boyfriend's wife. This was the woman Mark always portrayed as having no personality or sense of humor.

He admits to his infidelity but continues to weave even more webs in an attempt to untangle the mess he created of his life and, ultimately, hurts everyone in the process.
The story climaxes when Mark’s wife finds and befriends his lover and they compare stories of the man who fooled and victimized them for his benefit and self-pleasure.
Not in his wildest dreams would he have ever imagined that the Mrs. and the Mistress would connect and form a bond stronger than no other.
