A Spook In the House

Donna was an ordinary sixteen year old. She was five feet tall with long,
black hair and hazel eyes. She loved music, hiking, bike riding, and her favorite was solving mysteries. She lived with her parents and her older brother Larry. They had just moved into a new home in the country. It was a really old Victorian house, but it was new to her. She was very excited as she pulled into the driveway. She rushed inside to pick out the room best suitable for her. She quickly found it and rushed about getting her room organized and helping her mother.
They had been working way past lunch and decided to take a break. Donna walked out on to the porch to have a look around outside, which she
loved so much. Donna was standing at the front of her new home admiring
the hills that stood high at the back. The pine trees that covered the hills
seemed to touch the sky and the sight was breath taking. Donna was lost in the beauty when she was suddenly brought back by a shout.
"Hey, just moving in?" asked the girl, who seemed to come from out of nowhere.
Startled, Donna answered her, " Well, yes."
"My name is Linda, and yours?" said the girl. "I''m Donna," said Donna. The girl continued talking. "I live up the street from you and when I heard that someone had moved in the old Miller house I had to come and see. No one has lived in that house since old Mr. Miller was murdered."
"Murdered," exclaimed Donna.
"Yea. They say he haunts the place and that’s why they couldn''t sell it, once people heard about the murder they wouldn''t even come back.”
Donna wasn''t sure she liked the ideal of living in a house where a man was
killed and haunted it. This was just too much for her.
"It''s just a lot of talk. Who believes in ghosts anyway, right?'''' asked Linda.
"Yea, answered Donna, what’s all this talk about a spook anyway?" Ghosts,
spooks, I need to know which, so if I see one I''ll know what to do."

About the Book
The spook in the house was inspired by an incident that happened to me as a child the very spook did actually appear to me in the middle of the night, and the rest just came.
It was the very fact that on the day that we moved into a small house that set in an open field with the tall green pines that seem to reach the sky, defiantly caught my attention. My friend Malinda is the other girl, and we both was very venturous during that time, but it was the big diamond shape eyes that I focused on the most, and that is what sticks in my mind. The cave and the hills was a beautiful place for the girls to have a picnic, and stumbling over a pile of brush is when Donna found the cave and the excitement arose up inside of her she was determined to find out what happened to old Mr. Miller he was the one that was murdered in her house.
About the Author
I grew up in the country and loved to explore the forest, and old houses. I was next to the oldest, I had an older brother that I tried to do everything like him, but when it came time to dress up I was on hundered girl.
Today I’m a prophetess serving the Lord is my life, I’m fifty two years old and still love exploring and I love to write and allow the beauty of our country come to life, and I pray that all that reads the story of the spook in the house enjoys it as much as I did writing it.
