About the Author

I was born and raised in Michigan.  I am currently eleven years of age and I attend a private catholic school called “Our Lady of La Salette.”  I have been attending this school since I started pre-school.  I continued to attend Our Lady of La Salette until the second grade.  This school is located in Berkley, Michigan.

I attended “Key Elementary School” (a public school) for one semester while in the third grade.  Key Elementary School is located in Oak Park, Michigan.  This school was named after “Francis Scott Key” who wrote “The Star Spangled Banner.”

My father was the PTA President at Key Elementary School for that one semester.  I really liked that cause, I had something to brag about.  And I remember one day I got in trouble and my father was called to the school.  A little boy was picking on me and I told him that I was going to tell my daddy, cause he was the president of the PTA.  And the little boy told on me.

Then I went back to “Our Lady of La Salette” for the rest of my third, fourth, and fifth grade year.  Now I am currently in the sixth grade.

Every year my schoolwork seems to be getting a lot harder as well as complicated.  And I find myself spending a lot more time on my homework now then before.

I have other studies to do as well.  It is called “Kumon.”  Kumon is a Japanese program that offers reading and writing to children from ages three to eighteen.   So, far this program has helped me to improve on my reading, writing, math, and comprehension skills.

I really enjoy the mathematic assignments more than the reading assignments.  I guess I enjoy the math more because, I do not have to comprehend what I read.
