About the Book

    Isaiah Wilson and his wife Rayna are a match made in heaven. They have more than enough love for each other but there maybe a question on whether three’s company. They are patiently awaiting the arrival of their first child. Isaiah and Rayna both have expectations of one another and attempt to work through their differences in preparation for his son-to-be. Tragedy strikes and everyone around Isaiah is forced to adjust to his changes.  Especially Rayna. How much are they willing to take from him? How long can he be sheltered before someone decides enough is enough?

About the Author

Matthew Peterman was born in Newark, New Jersey. He began his journey into writing at Vailsburg High School in Newark. His earliest influences were Langston Hughes and Gil Scott-Heron. After graduating high school in 1985 he headed south to further his education graduating from Claflin with a B.A in Sociology. The experience of being at a Historically black college refueled his desire to create stories. He returned to Newark in 1990 but was unable to follow his dream because he had to gain financial stability. He worked various jobs in the Social Service field spanning the next 15 years with his head full of stories. He could no longer hold back the urge to write and now brings to you his first offering: A story of broken promises and unfulfilled dreams. Matthew captures the essence of sacrifice and denial in this emotional journey to understanding and acceptance.

Matthew is here now and he will continue to bring to you stories that will allow you to experience a satisfying sense of recognition with your own identity.
