About the Author

Samantha Jewel was born in Sacramento, California.  She currently resides in Orange County, California where she is a martial arts instructor.  Ms. Jewel has earned the rank of black belt in Shaolin Kempo.

Ms. Jewel began writing at the age of seven along with her twin sister.  The two enjoyed escaping to an imaginary world in which they controlled the settings, plots and characters of their stories.  This led to the writing of short plays and poems in her later school years. 

When not writing, Ms. Jewel enjoys practicing piano, karate and gymnastics.  She loves to work with children and inspire them to do their best in karate and in their lives.  She also loves to travel.
