About the Author

The author was born in 1946 in the small town of Sorrento, Louisiana, and spent all of his life in South Louisiana. He was a high school football standout, and earned a full football scholarship at Southeastern Louisiana University, Hammond, Louisiana in 1964. He earned three letters in football at Southeastern and graduated in Agricultural business in 1969. He then coached 10 years of junior high school and senior high school football. During the ten years of coaching the author attended many coaching conventions and kept notes of these conventions. He then decided to write this booklet because he had seen much abuse given out by many coaches, and this caused him to write this much needed booklet. He also covers every aspect of the game because on his first coaching job he didn''t know how to begin, The booklet was written in 1985, but still stands today as a usuable coaching guide for anyone interested in the game.
