Russell went into the living room and sat down on the sofa. He got up to look for the remote when the front door swung open and Donya charged him. She unknowingly knocked his apple juice from his hand and began to extend to him the thrashing that she thought he had desreved. Russell was able to restrain Donya. He was curious to find out why she was lashing out at him. "What the hell are you doing? You have never behaved this way toward me."
"Well, I've never received photographs of you and some bitch all hugged up!"
"I was never hugged up with anyone, what are you talking about?"
Donya threw the envelope at him and walked away. She went upstairs to their bedroom and laid across the bed. She couldn't believe that while she was away hoping to salvage her marriage, Russell was back at home being a low down dirty dog. Then she realized that he was no more low down and dirty than she was.
She came to her senses and went downstairs to apologize to Russell for not allowing him to explain to her what these photos meant. Oh, and for trying to beat the shit out of him as well.
"Russell, please forgive me. I let my emotions get the best of me."
Russell sat with his back to Donya and didn't respond loud enough for her to hear him. She walked up to him and asked him to repeat what he had just said.
"Where did you get these photos from?"
Donya was speechless. This is not how she wanted to inform Russell of her affair with Jackson. As a matter of fact, she had decided not to tell him. Her mind was instantly cluttered and she couldn't think straight.
"Donya, I asked you a question. Did you hire a private investigator to follow me while you were away?"
"No, Russell. I didn't."
She walked up to Russell and held his face between her hands in the most loving way. She hesitantly began to relive the life she hid from her husband for so long.
"Russell, before I tell you how I obtained these photos, know that I love you and I always will. The photos came from a man named Jackson Montgomery."
"Who the hell is he?"
"He is the man I've been seeing over the past year, intimately."
"You had your man on the side snapping photos of me on a platonic dinner date?"
"No, it’s not like that. I didn't know that he knew what you looked like."
In the midst of it all, Russell had yet to begin to connect Jackson Montgomery with the name Chante had given him.
"So what now, Donya? Are you going to leave me for him? I gave you all that I am. I would never do something like this to you. Why Donya? Why?"
"Russell, I have no excuse. You have been the very best husband. I don't know what I have been thinking all this time. I did comprehend all of this while I was in Colorado. I had planned to break it off as soon as I returned. That’s where I was this morning."
Russell climbed the stairs to the master bedroom and packed a few of his belongings and left the house. He did let Donya know where he would be, out of respect, but asked her not to try and contact him for a few days. He had to sort out this mess. Donya cried as Russell left. It broke his heart to see her that way but she went further than that with him. She pulverized his spirit.

Elementary school is where she found her niche and has vividly expressed herself ever since. In the fifth grade, she entered an essay contest and received a savings bond for her work.
