About the Book

Haiku Therapy is the process of fitting your thoughts and feelings into a syllabic structure. Focusing on them in this way helps you bring what is hidden to the surface.  This book contains about 250 haikus by T.A. Korba and some beautiful Illustrations by Mona Mandall.

About the Author

I am a musician, artist and writer, who tries to operate on a spiritual, creative level. In order to survive financially I have taken on many faces. I have been a factory worker, stock boy, worked in fast food restaurants, a picture framer, flower picker, a building superintendent, sold luggage in a flea market, construction worker, word processor, teacher, photo assistant, and helped manage a belly dance school.

The main lesson I learned from all these different careers was that although we can adapt to any situation in order to survive, that need for daily survival can remove us from our true passions in life. There is no right or wrong way to live. Our lives are just a series of experiences that are constantly reshaping who we are in this physical world. The balance of survival and passion is a key to living a happy, successful life. When I have leaned too much toward the creative I have suffered financially, and visa-a-versa.

Today I own my own graphics and web design business and live a very simple, modest life.  As a result of enjoying the things I do to earn a living, I am able to explore my creative, passionate side without daily survival pressures getting in the way.

The thoughts my haikus express are a result of many years of anxiety, stress, frustration, therapy, soul searching, and a deep desire to make sense of this world that surrounds us.
