Let Us Poet For You!

Team work is the ultimate steppingstone to success. Therefore, I would like to thank the people who helped bring this project to its final stage of completion.  First, I would like to thank Ben Spice, editor of my poems and mentor on poetry and contemporary literature.  Mary Rose did research on poems to include in my anthology, she was a life saver, a living treasure. Harlan stayed up many nights making hard copies of numerous re-writes of my work on his laser printer. Bobby was my friend, making me stop for a breath of fresh air.  Richard, Juanita, Jonathan, Raymond Jr., and Margaret are wonderful siblings. They did so many things that facilitated the ease of this writing project. A special thanks and appreciation goes to the regional community that helped me reach my poetic destination to Washington, D.C. God is a wonder, and I want to thank him for the positive influence he has had on my life. Last, but not least, there is some someone who held my hand, encouraged me to push forward, and that the spoils belong to the victor.  This wonderful person is my mother, Mary Brice.  Thanks, mom, for everything!

Poetry is the stuff of life, it’s alive and moving. Therefore; this book is for everyone.  This book is about poetry that’s often warm and heartfelt within various cultures.  Poems in this anthology collection consist of expressed words -  written voices declaring a positive state of mind about romantic love issues, everyday life, and a willing spirit.  These poetic works are much like an old wine fermenting in new bottles.
