About the Book

Imagine a realm that lays beyond the mists Avalon, where its people have no want and life is as rich as the forests and lakes within. A kingdom that has thwarted many enemies to retain peace and absolution. In a bastion in the far north-west fringes, resides an ageing enchanter with his young boy, both excited at the prospect of the king’s visitation. A dark shroud is about to smother the land, for already a plot unfolds to slay the king. In collusion with the land’s enemy, a trap is being set but unknowingly, one obstacle stands in their way –Arton the wizard’s lad. Reluctantly, Arton sets off on his quest to face his adversaries and his desire to gain the powers of magic. His only inheritance from his master is a pinch of useless spells and a pouch of tiny bones that hangs around his scrawny neck. As time unfolds, he gains many enemies but few allies. Only success in procuring the laws of wizardry will save him and his beloved kingdom.
