We find Mac living as a happy recluse. He reluctantly leaves his ranch and rediscovers two beautiful nurses who have had hard times since Vietnam. Together, they track down a pair of runaway girls who have taken refuge in a church camp guarded by handpicked veterans and run by a wacko. About the Author

Raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, John grew up amongst quiet back-country lakes and a wide assortment of beautiful wildlife. His family moved throughout Southern and Northwestern Ontario, from Sault Ste. Marie, to Sudbury, to Elliot Lake. His younger years saw him through an education in the Catholic school system where he was taught to speak both French and English. Leaving home at 14, over the next few years he worked in sawmills, for the railroad, and even in a suitcase factory.

John enlisted in the Canadian Armed forces from 1965-1967 as a Recon Crewman in the 8th Canadian Hussars (same designation as Cavalry Crewman in the U.S. Army). He enlisted in the U.S. Armed Forces from 1968-1971.  His tour in Vietnam was 1969 -70 where he served as an llth Bravo, Light Weapons Infantryman (grunt). He was one of the many to contribute his skills on the front lines during the conflict in Vietnam. Following his tour in the Army, John attended college in Rochester, New York where he received his degree with a major in Criminal Justice. In 1980 John re-enlisted in the Army and spent four years posted Stateside on various bases, followed by two years in Germany, on the border, before the wall came down that separated that country.

Since leaving the Army, John has worked as an armored car driver, a horse farmer, and long-haul truck driver. McDonald shares his eighty acre ranch in Apache County, Arizona, with his dogs and horses.
