About the Book

The book that I wrote is targeted for children that ‘s between the ages of seven years of age to nine years of age.  One of the stories is about 2 young bay that has a very vivid imagination, that let’s children of all ages know that it is ok to dream, and to encourage our children to do what it takes to achieve your goals in life, just like Demetrius imagined himself lassoing, and riding the moon across the vast sky, our boys and girls can become anyone or anything that they want to become as long as they have the hope to believe tin themselves in their hearts, and they don’t ever give up on their aspirations, no matter what!  One of the stories that I wrote is about a little porcupine that discovered that he is a very special animal, he also discovered that he was loved by his family and his friends in spite of the way he looked.  Finally, one of the stories that I wrote about is concerning a goldfish named Powder, he lived under in the deep blue sea along with his grandmother, his grandfather, his mother and father, and his older sister, whose name is Trish.  Powder attended grade school, just like little children do, he loved to drink milk that was made from “seaweed”, and he loved to eat sandwiches that was made with creamy peanut-butter, and “jelly-fish,” This is his favorite dish, Powder knew that as long as he was a good little goldfish, he would always get his wish!

About the Author

She is a black woman, her name is Patricia Jean Alexander, and she currently resides in Brookfield, Wisconsin with her son, daughter-in-law, and her grandsons.  She was inspired to start writing short stories for children, while she was living in Roseville, Minnesota either in 2001, or 2002.  The book is compiled of at least six different manuscripts|stories about children animals or fish, it also includes the illustrations that she drew as well.  She is fifty-three years old, she has a mother named Susie, a father named Roosevelt Tate, a sister named Theresa, her son’s name is Fred Sr., Andrea is his wife, my grandchildren’s names are Dennis, Fred Jr. Ke’erra, Alexis, Maryah, Franwuan and Sedorian.

I feel as though I have been blessed with a gift from God to inspire others to read.  She decided to write stories for children, because she believes that it’s a wonderful idea when parents take the time to read a bedtime story for their little ones each night, before they go to sleep.  This is one way to secure the values of loves, patience, peace, joy and laughter in the home, and within the family setting so that the parents can find the special way to be drawn even closer to their special children.  She loves children; and it brightens up her day, she feels better when she can put a smile on someone’s face, she loves to hear the laughter of little children.
