About the Book

Natalie Devereaux, mother, paralegal, avid bookworm, still reels from the unexpected slings and arrows in her “paltry life.”  She can’t quite see where she is headed.  Natalie’s haze of anger isn’t helping matters and neither is the blinding Pennsylvania snow.

Nick Richards, an overeducated, has-been action actor with hazy private problems and surplus time to ponder them, isn’t doing any better.  Nick thinks he knows what his future will bring—it’s not a pretty picture.

Forced into an encounter neither expects nor particularly wants, Natalie and Nick learn that sometimes the Universe navigates you to just the right safe harbor.  What you do when you arrive is up to you.  Or is it?  It’s months before they know that answer.

About the Author

Lorelei Broskey and Jeffey Peter Hauck write fiction and non-fiction by a collaborative method that could be called a “joint mental enterprise.”  Ports and Happy Havens is an example of their teamwork in that the two main voices, male and female, are equally represented, which makes reading the book akin to omnisciently eavesdropping on a private conversation.

Collaboration obviously causes more creativity, because the authors are partners in a training and consulting business, Hauck & Associates Corporation, as well. Lorelei and Jeffrey also write quite a bit in their law related professions.  Jeff holds a Juris Doctorate and Lori, an MLS.  Both are avid readers, book collectors, history buffs and education junkies.  Jeff is married and both have young children.
