To Light a Roman Scandal

To expose the Roman Catholic System of worship is like reading hard core pornography because of its dark past and its dastardly wicked deeds of the hour. It is not my intention to hurt invidiously, or mark all who error as being dishonest, but rather to expose religious error that the truth might be known, and honest men might seek Him who is the “Way, the Truth, and the Life.”

“TO LIGHT A ROMAN SCANDAL” exposes the sham, deceit and fraud of this great Babylonian religious system with some sobering thoughts for all who have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. This book is not intened to be invective, but it is a book of information based on the holy scriptures, and is in no way intended as an in-depth commentary on the many traditions, doctrines and dogmas of the Roman Catholic Church.

It is my deep conviction, and also that of many Bible commentators that the great religious harlot found in the seventeenth chapter of the Book of Revelation is none other than Apostate Christendom. The Apostle John opens the seventeeth chapter of the Book of Revelation with these words, “And there came one of the seven angels which had seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will show thee the judgement of the great whore that sitteth upon many water’s.” (Rev.17:1).

The word “waters” in our text has a symbolic meaning, which is clearly brought out in verse fifteen of this chapter. “And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.” (A universal religious empire). Verse fifteen adequately depicts the universality of this great religious harlot who has prostituted herself and spread her skirt across the face of the earth.

There should not be any doubt in any one’s mind that the Church of Rome is by far the greatest religious and political system in the world today, with its ecclesiastical and political influence touching every segment of society.

This great religious-political system which holds sway over the earth is none other than Apostate Christendom headed up under the Papacy, which is the Pope of Rome and central government of the Roman Catholic Church, “With whom the kings of the earth (World leaders) have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” (Rev. 17:2).

In chapter seventeen and verse five this religious harlot is described as “MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” While there are several names given to this polytheistic religious system, she is called a whore by the Apostle John.

The whore in our text depicts a woman who has sold her purity to a man made religious system that has prostituted itself and sold out to the false ideologies of  a man made religious suystem.

In the Book of Revelation we learn where the Mother Church of this vast religion empire is located. “And here is the mind which hath wisdom. (knowledge). The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.” (Rev.17:9). Any informed student of world history knows that Rome has been traditionally called the “City of Seven Hills” down through the centuries, which adequately describes the terrain on which Rome is built.

It is common knowledge that Rome is the seat of the Vatican, and the location of Saint Peter’s Basilica, which is the Mother Church of this vast universal religious. harlotery. The word “Catholic” means universal or general in scope, so there is no misunderstanding as to where the seat of this great religious system is located.

According to the 2003 Catholic Almanac, there are 174 countries, which includes the European Union that has diplomatic ties with the Vatican at Rome. The Vatican State is a sovereign, religious and political state within a State, and has 109 acres, and holds a political seat at the United Nations in New York City.

How ironic that the world’s smallest sovereign nation is the most powerful political and religious nation on earth. Vatican City is governed by the Pope who has absolute executive, legislative and judical powers of the Vatican State. The United
