June played with the envelope in her hand. She knew it was from Jerome. She wondered what he was asking for now. She sat on her bed deciding what she should do. She had to tell Simone the truth soon. June needed the right time to tell her. Knowing how Simone would react, she had to be ready for anything. Placing the letter on her bedside, she laid with her eyes in the ceiling. Her mind returning to when they were together. Times when Jerome would shut down the theatre, while they had dinner and he proposed. June smiled at the thought. They were so happy, then with the birth of Simone he was the best father that any child could have. It pained her to think that she was now alone to raise their daughter, she wondered if the letter was a sign that it was to be over between them. Her eyes looked on the envelope, maybe he wanted to make things right between them even behind bars. June shook her head, she would decide in the morning.
