About the Book

Susie Jackson Batty found herself keeping a daily diary when she had to deal with breast cancer and reconstruction. Once she had started she found it very therapeutic to offload her thoughts and feelings, and hopes and fears into The Diary. As time went on and she recorded all the changes that were taking place in her life, she wondered if The Diary could be of help and a comfort to others touched by the illness, and so she continued to keep it until the right time came for her to stop. It is a very uplifting story told with great honesty, many tears and lots of humour, and will fascinate anyone who reads it.

About the Author

Susie Jackson Batty lived in London in her early twenties where she met her husband Andrew. They lived in Beaconsfield for nearly twenty years until they recently moved to an apartment on the River Thames. They now spend most of the year in Sarasota on the Gulf Coast of Florida with their beautiful Birman cats.

Susie had the privilege of working with the late Lord Burnham as his private secretary from 1983 for ten years, and continued with the Burnham Family after his death.  She enjoyed her time at Hall Barn, the private stately home in Beaconsfield, where she remained for sixteen years. In 1999 she became ill and her life underwent several changes.
