Don’t read them like a teacher,
Counting their rhythms and rhyme;
I just want you to know and interpret
These intricacies, intransigencies and intimacies of mine.
Don’t talk ‘bout making money,
Is that all you are about?
Money, money, making money,
Messing up and making out.
Read just what I have written,
Reread and reread again.
Contemplate, cogitate, consider,
Just what the words contain.
Do they strike you, irritate,
Frustrate, frighten or fribble?
Hit, hurt, hinder, help,
Can you determine the precise trouble?
Let them speak just to that self,
Rapacious, rancorous heart.
Reform, remake, redeem you,
Can their story play this part?
If they can just but move you,
In sadness or joy or pain;
A little bit of real life show!
Then read them again and again.

About the Book
A collection of poems. Like the facets of a diamond. Each time you read them, a new insight is gained. You soon discover that they are much deeper than they appear. The author is a priest in the Episcopal Church. Over the years he has garnered a deep insight into human nature and has developed an uncanny gift of using nature and human experiences to bring deep spiritual truths to life. He uses everyday events that the average person can easily overlook, to bring to life a much clearer and more profound insight into the reality of existence. In the flight of a bird, a simple spider, he can make you see the profundity of the divine. He has a great command of words and harnesses them into such simplicity that his readers are captivated rather than intimidated by his language. His writings are a new kind of inspiration that perks the curiosity. They entice the reader to want to keep reading his poems over and over again without ever tiring of them, while saying: “It is just what I wanted to say”.
