About the Author
For 35 years, California native James (Jim) Collister owned and managed a highly successful consulting firm providing management consulting services to well known universities, health care providers, personnel services and the manufacturing industry. As a consultant with a formal background in psychology, ontological design and speech act theory, he has conducted over 1,000 seminars teaching effective communication, relationship and management skills. In all, Jim has reached over 75,000 participants with his programs to facilitate personal growth and development, enhanced communication and improved relationships.
Now in his second career, Jim is the president and founder of Excel in Living— Learning Seminars, a lifestyle education and coaching firm which offers public seminars focused on creating strong personal and business relationships, effective communication and personal growth. Jim is well known for his expertise, directness and humor. He uses his many years of teaching experience to both educate and entertain participants in his public seminars.
In his new capacity as visionary leader of Excel in Living, Jim shares his experience, education and prior business coaching skills to help educate people invent, design and create the personal intimate relationships they desire. He has a passionate zest for life and the possibilities it holds for us all and wants to share this passion with as many people as possible.
