I serve you the last delectable crumb.

I wrap a band-aid around your black-and-blue thumb.

I soothe you in patience with words I say.

You give me an extra portion.

You delight me in words of affection.

Sharing leads to caring.

Kindness can’t be blindness.

You’ve shown me direction,

Toward the happiest of clownish circus tents,

Toward love’s ins and outs.
