About the Author
About the Author Born in The day after graduating from A meeting with country music singer Jeannie Seely – a former banker from Ron’s hometown area – led to a series of articles about her for newspapers and publications, as well as a museum exhibit and other projects. As a free-lance writer Ron called upon other well-known western PA natives as subjects for his many feature stories. Eventually Ron concentrated on covering country artists and events as he continued to write for various publications, including nationally circulated country music magazines. Ron’s involvement in country music and dancing – along with the encouragement of friend Seely – resulted in his 1998 decision to relocate to In addition to his full-time job, Ron is employed part-time as a supervisor at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. He also maintains the web sites for Grand Ole Opry members Jeannie Seely and Jan Howard, and in his spare time he continues to write articles and produce special projects like this book.
