I had thought of using the glossary from my Complete Works of Shakespeare when I didn’t understand him but I find the dictionary is sufficient for it is only an occasional word that gives us trouble.
The other day I left Sir Isaac in the F.I.T. library on the fourth floor in the mathematics-physics section. When I returned from classes his face was red. He’d found a textii that has a picture of him before the title page and one of Leibnitz before Chapter 1. His English was harder to understand but it sounded like he and Leibnitz must have had a knock down drag out fight as to who invented the calculus.
I sat down to study but soon noticed the librarian eyeing Sir Isaac as he was correcting a mistake in a physics text so I hastened our departure.
