About the Book

The Executive’s Guide to Fly Fishing is a concise and easy to read book for anyone who wants to begin fly fishing or has had trouble sticking with it.  It’s a practical, no-nonsense instruction with hilarious anecdotes that keeps fly fishing as simple as it can be.

For example, there is no shortage of knowledgeable, well meaning people who offer their advice and guidance, oftentimes resulting in “information overload.”  The student must learn to listen to their advice, smile, thank them, and then ignore whatever they said.

In fact, there are only 3 basic objectives to successful fly fishing:

1.  Get the fly in front of the fish.

2.  Make the fly look like something to eat.

3.  Deal with the setbacks as they occur.

For anyone with a sense of humor and an interest in fly fishing, this book is a must.

About the Author

Tim Killeen, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, has had a successful business career since leaving the U.S. Air Force in 1973.  Starting out as in sales, his travels eventually landed him as president of a $400 million division of a NYSE company.  He is currently president of Corporate Fly Fishing Adventures, a firm that specializes in arranging business meetings at fly fishing destinations.

It was during his time in the Air Force, while stationed in Michigan’s upper peninsula, that he began to fly fish.  Thirty years later, after fishing throughout the U.S. and the Bahamas, and while teaching a friend the sport, he saw a need to streamline the learning process, and prepare his student for fly fishing’s “dark side.”

The result is The Executive’s Guide to Fly Fishing, which combines psychology, humor, and instruction to make a great book.
