Yes, it will cost something. As in my case, it cost a relationship. Although the man had proposed to me, he wanted sex before marriage and would not accept no for an answer. I had a choice to make. Would I say yes to him and remain engaged or would I compromise the Word of God. I chose to end the relationship and obey God’s Word though I felt that I was very much in love with him.
Instead of regretting my choice to live celibate, I CELEBRATE IT! It has helped me to have a closeness with God that I had never known before. I’m not saying that my spiritual experience is solely dependant on my decision to live celibate but I do know it has given me a more intimate walk with God.
