About the Author

Dr. Vickie Smith is an only child from a family of educators.  She is currently married to businessman, Keith "Bam" Smith, owner of No Horsing Around Autoplex,  Heat/AC and Construction Company. They have one child, Keith, Jr.

Dr. Smith, a veteran Dallas ISD teacher, used a classroom experience to inspire this  delightful children's book.

She is a member of  the Union Baptist Church,  Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. (Alpha Rho Chapter), The National Council of Negro Women (Minnie Page section), Altrusa International (SW Dallas County), DR-NABSE- Dallas Regional National Alliance of Black School Educators, Council for Exceptional Children, Order of Eastern Star, Outstanding Young Women of America, and a Life Member of  PTA. Also, a 1995 State Representative – Good Will Ambassador to Oklahoma's  bombing victims.

She enjoys volunteering  in the community where she serves the needs of others, and  shows and  shares  the GOOD NEWS  of JESUS CHRIST!!!
