“Imperialist Pigs! Racist troublemakers! You’re enemies of the Mystic Gods of peace, Dan, couldn’t do anything but watch, as a well organize group of ‘Peace-Cults’ stood outside of the high court, shouting insults at their enemies. Or any one who disagree with the New System. The federal troopers stood guard checking every one’s classification numbers as they entered the court. Those who were not members of the Peace movement was seated in the back row, as they rushed in.
Suddenly, a big black and red, van drove up to the door, and four troopers jumped out dragging two terrified men. One of the men stood and walked, but the other one kept falling, because of his wounded leg. Every time he fell one of the guard would kick the prisoner’s bleeding leg until he pulled himself up. Each time he went down, the Peace Sect shouted, “Down with the enemy of Peace!”
The courtroom looked more like an arena than a place of justice. Arm guards stood in a U shape formation, from wall to wall. The prisoners was led to a special design platform, facing the Judge’s podium in the center floor. A few feet above the prisoners, they held four 300W spotlights that were so hot that the prisoners’ sweat would dry up before it dripped. Each man was hand cuffed to an overhead post, that was wired with electrical current, as a torture to force a confession, when needed.
After an hour, under the hot burning lights, the wounded man collapsed from loss of blood. Two guards ran over to remove him, but stood there, until the cheering crowd stopped. When the pro-system demonstration was over, the prisoner was dragged off onto another room. Later, one of the guards came back and turn down the heat because they waned a live person for the judge to prosecute.
After Dan Clark, had observed the overall strength of the Federal Troopers, the two freedom fighter called off their rescue attempt. They knew it would lead to a bloody conflict, and most of all, innocent by-standers would be in the line of fire.
The terrified prisoner was left alone, quivering like a frighten animal, waiting to be slaughter. The accuse man looked around saw that escape was hopeless, they had blocked every door, and was back-up by heavy armed Troopers.
After three hours of waiting for the judge, the crowd became restless causing more tension. A few minutes later the judge rushed in without putting on his robe and threw it on the chair. The judge stood until everyone set back down, he then looked up at a ‘Peace’ banner, and ask, “Mr. Luke, are you the councilor for this man?” “Ye..Yes, sir your honor.” The lawyer replied. “Well let get on with it! But first let me remind you of a new change, it’s going to save money and time. There won’t be any more prosecutors or jury, everything is left to the judge and (lawyer) councilor. If you have any thing to say now go on and say it!” The lawyer had known the judge for many years, but he had never seen him act so strange before. “Your...You.,honor sir, my client is not guilty for these reason. He is not the man you want your honor.” The lawyer explained. The judge lean over to get a good look at the prisoner and ask “What are you trying to say Mr. Luke, that the system is doing something wrong?” “No your honor, I mean Bill, work for the Nipo Corp. as a high tech-engineer, including his son. Bill Ray, haven’t done anything your honor.” The judge was becoming impatient as he looked up at the clock and ask the lawyer. “What are you trying to say, are you saying that the police and this court are lying?” The judge ask. “NO, no your honor, I mean he didn’t know he was breaking the law. He was just teaching the Bible sir.” “I’ve heard enough! It’s a crime to teach your God, on sacred property. That is an insult to the spirit of the ‘Lotus’. Your sentence is Death within 30 days,” the judge growled.
Bill was left chained, as he was, when two troopers walk over and drag his defense attorney into a side room. Then all lights in the courtroom was turn off, except for those upon the stage. Suddenly, several Buddhist monks walk out on the stage all dressed in long white robes. Each one had a scroll in one hand and a string of beads in the other hand. Then two more monks walk out wearing black gold trimmed robes. One had a drum and the other one was carrying a large 3x5 foot scroll. After unrolling the scroll it was hung into a special slot surrounded by burning incense and a bowl of fresh fruit and green leaves. After pulling off their boots, each trooper kneeled along the walls. Then the white robed monks walked down among them rubbing the beads between the hands, as the two leaders in the black robes led the ritual. Every one in the courtroom was force to take part in the chanting that went on for 45 minutes.
