About the Book

Joe Wesson was an ordinary guy, your typical man on the street who had ideas of his own about his country should be run and how things should be.  He saw the unbridled greed and avarice that seemed to drive not only the common man, but especially the big business conglomerates.  He bemoaned this sad state of affairs and spoke against it.  He hoped that he could effect a drastic change.  Through an accident of fate and with the help of God he got his chance.  He maneuvered himself into positions of authority to try his ideas.  Most of his methods were not appreciated by the general populace thus causing much dissent and hate.  As you read to the final outcome you will often agree with Joe Wesson and you will hope for better solutions to this country's problems.

About the Author

I finished High School just as our country was considering entering the World War II conflict, so I decided not to continue my education and I enlisted in the US Army.  I elected to serve overseas and my first posting was to Hickam Field, Hawaii.  Shortly thereafter the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and the United States declared war against Japan.  After several months elapsed, my commanding Officer recommended me to Officers' Candidate School in Aberdeen, Md.

After graduation I received my 2nd Lieutenant bars and was sent to a Post in Oklahoma.  When I arrived the unit was preparing to leave for New Guinea.  We landed in Milne Bay and pushed to the northern tip of New Guinea.  When the Philippines were retaken by the United States Forces, our unit was sent to Manila where we waited for orders to invade Japan.  Luckily President Truman had the foresight to unload the A-Bomb, which ended the hostilities.  It was only then that I realized I liked the Army and decided to make it my career.  Then I continued my education, attending three different colleges as my posting permitted and completed three years.  I retired from the Army with the rank of Major.
