About the Book

Tommy Taylor was faced with the most difficult thing he'd ever had to deal with. He had to say goodbye to his friends, to everything he'd known for his entire life, to move to the country.

While he was out exploring his new surroundings, he discovered a secret place in his very own backyard! In his dreams, Tommy learns of a mysterious turquoise ball, and the insight as to where he might find it. To his surprise, his dream unfolds, and the mysterious turquoise ball becomes his. His wildest imagination could never prepare him for the adventures that awaited him!

Finding out about the past, and learning about this great gift, leads Tommy on the biggest quest of his young life. With his newly made friends, and assistance from his Indian guide, Tommy is beginning the greatest adventure anyone could hope for! His first quest is to find out how this ancient artifact works.

About the Author

Steve Lookenott was born in northwest Louisiana, and grew up reading books by Mark Twain, Edgar Rice Burrows, and J.R.R. Tolkein, (among many others). He has always been intrigued by folklore and legends, and has traveled extensively throughout the southern portion of the U.S. and Central America, to investigate the cultures these legends were based on.

This book is loosely based on Indian lore out of Arkansas and Oklahoma, and was inspired by my 9 year old son, Matt, to give him a piece if reading material to allow his imagination to wander.
