melts the snow
Let me be the one that melts your heart
Let me be the one to lie next to u
When u need a comforter, let me be there
I wanna write a love poem about u
One that only u and I can relate to
I wanna tell u that you’re beautiful and wonderful
and that I love spending time with u
I wanna do all those crazy things that people in
relationships do
I wanna miss u, kiss u, caress u
I wanna leave u silly messages on your answering
machine when I know u just left my place
I wanna be the one u call on your cell phone on your
way home from work
I wanna relax with u
Enjoy dinner and a movie with u
Laugh with u
Take naps with u
I wanna kiss u good nite
and good mornings
Be that one to help u have a brighter day
And this isn’t just a love poem
It’s my heart speaking to u
And me wishing there were more I could do
Wanting u to stay close even though I know you’re scared
But I’m afraid that you’ll never know how it feels to have me care for u
I want us to share firsts, and seconds, and thirds, and etcetera etcetera
I wanna be that sweet in your dreams
Those peaches and its cream
I want u to feel what I mean when I say I just called to talk
I want people to see us and wonder
Knowing they could never truly understand
Let me be the one u share your dreams with
I wanna know what you’re thinking and how you’re
feeling
And how u feel about me and how we feel about each other
I want us to share secrets and I want us to be secret
And wide open knowing that our bond can’t be broken
By the little things in life
And if everything was that easy
I would have u next to me at this very moment
But this is reality and unlike my dreams
I’m holding this pen instead of u
