About the Book

This book has over 17,000 alphabetized entries obtained from working puzzles over the years. These entries include clue words, phrases, quotations etc. and some of their possible answers.

A space is left after each definition for you to fill in new definitions as you find them. I used the spelling found in puzzles although I have found some discrepancies. Some apostrophes and quotation marks are used but not all since they are not in puzzle answers. Some word and/or answers may be found in more than one place, but not always. This book is not a dictionary with extensive definitions; I just call it a puzzle helper.

About the Author

Pepper was born in Western North Carolina. She has lived in North Carolina the majority of her life and presently lives near Charlotte. She is a retired R.N. and teacher, has a B.S. degree in Health Education, and a M.S. degree in Human Resource Development.

For approximately 15 years or so, she has kept notebooks of puzzle answers and had so many that she decided to put them in a book. It was a hobby and she always kept spaces to fill in new words and/or answers. She decided to make this information available to other people to use in working crossword puzzles.
