I Like
I like sunny skies, and rainbows
Walking in the park with no where to go
I like children playing silly games
Sitting by the fireplace watching the flames
I like butterflies, and red birds
Acting silly like a nerd
I like seeing a friend from way back when
Hearing my elders telling stories of old with a wide grin
I like looking out the window at a snowstorm
Hearing a baby cry when it’s first born
I like going to church on Sunday in my favorite hat
Calling a friend just to chat
I like hot summer days with a cool breeze
Sailing on a ship on the high seas
I like watching my dog chase his tail
Going to a really good garage sale
I like spending time with the ones I love
Talking to the Great One Above
I like music, cherries, and a really good book
Butter pecan ice cream, and a sister who can cook

About the Book
This book of verse is a journey of birth and rebirths of trials, errors, triumphs and a celebration of transformations while learning life’s lessons. Each poem is an adventure in itself; and as adventures go, there will be the expected and the unexpected, we will have choices, make turns, move forward and stand still. As the universe changes so does our desires and circumstances; we mirror where we’ve been, and reflect where we are destined to go. Life can be fire, wood, water or earth, at any given time or all at once. Our strengths and weaknesses determine how we survive each of life’s elements.
May these words bless, inspire and motivate you as you travel along life’s journey through the poetry in this book. As you read each verse may you realize that you have successfully adapted to the changing elements in your life and that you have emerged from your cocoon and transformed into a beautiful butterfly.

Lucky Caswell Harris has over 20 years experience as a motivational speaker, life and image coach specializing in “inner-terior decorating” helping you “Love the Skin You’re In.” Drawing from over 30 years experience working with civic, business, political, corporate as well as governmental groups she is regarded as a professional fundraiser, event planner and business consultant. Lucky is the founder of Mothers Of Military (MOM) Support Group. She is the founder and editor/publisher of “Wake Up Sistersâ” Newsletter, which is also a full service seminar, workshop, educational and networking enterprise. She has been nominated for entry into the 2005 Marquis Who’s Who in
