About the Book

Come walk with me through a collection of short, short stories which will make you feel the tiny breeze as it plays against the tree boughs.  Watch the giant full moon start its birth above the hillsides to fill the valley with the radiance of its glory.  Hear the singing of the night creatures and smell the aroma of the freshness of the uncluttered valley.  As whispers from the past fill your senses, see the sparkle of diamonds on the early morning dew and watch the mists hang over the Creek and cover the tall forest trees.

Go back to the early days of your youth in the hills and experience once again the sweet memories of what once was-----------UP ON THE CREEK!

About the Author

The author is a graduate of Miami University of Ohio, and spent most of his adult life around Suburbia Detroit.  Since retiring, he and his wife, Joan, divide their time between Oscoda, Michigan and Berea, Kentucky.

Some of his early years were spent on the Creek which his Great, Great, Great, Grandfather Owen, settled in the year eighteen hundred.  Tom recalls many of the stories, both fact and fiction, passed down by his ancestors.

Grandpa Tom Perry, a Civil War veteran, left a legacy for his many descendents and these stories serve to keep memories alive.   Tom wants people to appreciate there is more to life than the hustle and bustle of the big cities and offers these stories  to  help folks relieve some of the stress of everyday living.  Modern culture tends to make us forget the ‘old days’ and Tom tries to help us remember through his book...UP ON THE CREEK.
