CROSS

Simon moved to the rear of the building and looked over the side. There was one Vampyre guarding the back door, and he had a pistol tucked into his front waistband.

Sshinkktt! Simon popped out his right wrist blade and dropped over the buildings side. As he fell into a crouch, he cut the Vampyre from neck to stomach and the monster fell to his knees trying to keep his entrails from spilling onto the ground. Simon rose to his feet.

 “You’re the Hunter…I…,” the Vampyre was choking and wobbling. Sshthunk! Simon drove his wrist blade into the Vampyre’s heart and stepped over the smoking body. Once inside, he made his way down the hall, around the corner and to the dance floor. Finding his target at a table playing cards, he moved with purpose and sped towards him.

As he got within several feet, the target looked up and panicked. He grabbed the sides of the table and heaved it at Simon. Once done, he ran for the door. Simon batted the table away and pursued his target. As he ran by the other, he popped out his wrist blade and punched him in the side of the head.

The blow sheered the top of his skull off, and the monster actually smoked and exploded. Simon pulled his bolas out and, spinning it once overhead, threw it at the running target.

The bolas hit the Vampyre in the back of the neck and wound around his throat. When the crystal weights wound tight and slammed together, they broke open and splashed his face with holy water. The Vampyre fell through the doors screaming and holding his face.

Simon smiled as he walked through the front doors. Blam – blam – blam!! Rounds hit Simon as he came through the club doors, and he stumbled back several steps. A female Vampyre was at the curb holding a pistol pointed at him. Simon looked to the target on the ground at his chest and back to the female Nosferatou. The protective vest had done what it was designed to do. It protected his body and soaked the bullets up.
