A GREATER LOVE
I looked in the distance and I
saw time standing still,
I saw yesterday fleeting and tomorrow lost its will
The willows weeped
for the shining of the sun
The mountains fled and the rivers refuse to run
Torrents of rain
Wind swept plain
Volcanic eruptions, and tornadoes
that up root trees
The devastation of my heart was greater than all of
these
But the calm came after the storm
With a gentle smile and a heart that’s warm
After the rain came
the rainbow
I found a love I did not know
Would be everything to me
Everything a man could be
When I look into his eyes,
I see the man that I idealized
And in the isles of time,
I found the love that satisfies my mind.

About the Book
As a child she felt there was
something locked up inside of her, and try as she may, only few things would
come from her heart. Then one day
something warm and beautiful happened and like a “Dam” the words came forth and
like a river the poetry flowed with great vision and wonder. She felt caught up in another time another
place. Emotions ran high and the love
was so deep. The spirit moved on her
heart and she knew it was a miracle from God.
It had been her life long dream to get it all out and look at it and
feel it. Thus “Inner Expressions” was
born.
The book contains poems that conveys love, romance, my story, vision and
warmth.
About the Author
Joe Ann has always had a love for
poetry and romantic prose. As long as
she can remember, she had to have pencils and paper. She was born in a very rural part of
