said the gates of Hell would not overcome His church (Matthew 16:18). He declared that it cannot be destroyed. So where has it been all those years since
the first century? Of course, it is not
necessary to be able to trace an unbroken history of the Lord’s body in order
to show that it has existed since the first century.
“Many years ago when a group of archaeologists first opened
an Egyptian pyramid, they found a large pottery jar full of wheat in the burial
chamber dating back to about the time of Joseph, which made it more than 3,500
years old. They realized that if they
planted some of it – and if it grew – they could produce the very same
kind of wheat which had been grown in Egypt about the time that pyramid was
constructed.
“The archaeologists planted some of the wheat –
and when it was exposed to the soil in the presence of moisture and warmth
from the sun, it germinated and grew! So
it was not necessary to have an unbroken chain of 3,500 annual wheat harvests
in order to grow the same kind of wheat that Joseph and Pharaoh had known....”
About the Author
Ken Molloy joined the Air
Force in 1952. He met and married Miss
Pat Beard in
Five years later, a heart attack
and bypass surgery required a career change.
From 1984 to 1988, Ken preached full time for the Lucerne Valley,
California
After two more heart attacks, two
additional open heart surgeries, and three cardiac arrests, Ken retired from
preaching. In January, 1997, the couple
moved to
Ken and Pat
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in January, 2004. They have three sons, nine grandchildren, and
three great-grandchildren.
