Responsible
people declare
that something forever is there.
The other folk simply
perceive that a dimply
allotment has tarnished the air.
A WATERED 17 SYLLABLES
Permission
that lately was granted
precluded that plums could be planted.
An obvious fact
may tell how some tact
might help the next sunshine stay slanted.

About the Book
The main "benefit" my book 100 LIMERICKS
might offer would, perhaps, be in terms of some
enjoyment of how I put English into the "Limerick" Format.
About the Author
Bruce Hamilton attended Yale College for some two years and then, in 1968, dropped out of Yale. He assiduously has devoted most of his literary practicing to 5-finger-exercise pieces, such as sonnets and limericks. His recent "literary hero" was and still is Jorge Luis Borges, toward whose pessimisms about language and literature he remains sympathetic.
