Why

The issue of the national debt has been a topic of numerous presidential campaigns.  The thing is that the debt has grown 3 trillion dollars in the last 3 years so unless we start generating a minimum payback in the area of 1.5 to 2 trillion dollars a year we could possibly have it paid back in 7 to 8 years since is has been roughly growing at a rate of 1 trillion a year for the last 3 years.  I have formulated a rough plan to actually increase the tax revenue to roughly 4 trillion a year therefore paying the debt of in 4-6 years and actually having money left over to work with.

People have told me that we need a national debt but to me it just seems to hang there like a bad interest rate on a credit card we should never have activated.  For those of you that feel like I do and would like to pay it off and start using the collected taxes for more positive things such as national Medicare and better school programs.  You also cant forget that after the debt is paid off we would be able to use the taxable income in the areas of better housing programs so those people living at or below the poverty level could afford homes also.

If you determine these penalties to severe put yourself in the place of the victims who had these atrocities performed on them and then determine if they are two strict.  If after careful consideration you still find them two strict think of it like this any person can make a mistake and in the system devised it does give them a chance to be rehabilitated with the exception of felony murder charges.  Also consider the amount of money that is used to maintain correctional facilities where you have repeat offenders and violent criminals serving life sentences by reducing the time allowed to make a determination of implementing the death penalty you save the government billions of dollars that can be used for positive rehabilitation of lesser offenders and implementing their return to society as a positive productive member.  Punishments like these will instill a sense of respect in people to obey the law.  People obeying the law is what I call crime prevention.

In case you were wondering the average cost to incarcerate a single inmate for one year is between 25-40 thousand dollars per year.  If you want to do the math on that one be my guest.  Just remember I said tens of thousands in prison at this time.
