About the Book

In Virgil’s Aeneid, Queen Dido builds a temple to Juno, the Queen of Heaven, on the site where her people find the symbol of prosperity and fortune, the skull of a spirited horse, buried in the earth.  The power of adventure, the strength of the warrior, the intensity of love, and the sometimes brutal hand of fate all play Inside the Skull of a Spirited Horse, taking the reader on a journey through the unique minds of its characters, each one traveling in his or her own dream world.  Driven by the common human desires for survival, love, and revenge, the voices in these stories haunt the reader, demanding a chance to live out their dreams and a shot at immortality.
